Abstract

Description

Women's only outhouse at Mathis Labor Camp. Photo captioned: "Mathis Labor Camp 4/11/48 Shows women's toilet with newly dug open hole into which the feces from the old hole are running into. Note the proximity of the trash and garbage to the human feces. It is typical of all privies and labor camps. No rat proofing. No fly proofing and no self closing lids on the toilets."
