Permanent URI for this collectionhttps://hdl.handle.net/1969.6/19234

This Special Collections and Archives collection contains oral histories recorded by students in HIST 5370: Oral History-Techniques and Practices taught by Dr. Laura Muñoz during fall semester 2017. Students interviewed people in the Corpus Christi and Rockport areas affected by Hurricane Harvey, which made landfall along the Gulf Coast at Rockport, Texas in August 2017.

This was a joint project between the Special Collections and Archives staff and the students. An archivist from Mary and Jeff Bell Library worked with the students to advise on legal considerations and standards for transcriptions. The Special Collections and Archives staff also worked to make the recordings available online.
