Marilyn G. Haft, Deputy Counsel to the Vice President, writes to Vilma S. Martinez, President and General Counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, apologizing to her about her meeting with the Vice President and explaining that her letter was misplaced and does not reflect the Vice President's view of the importance of the Hispanic Community. She plans to respond in the next week regarding the original letter.
