Abstract

Description

Reverend Vincent M. Harris, Bishop of Texas, writes to the Honorable Bill Clayton, Speaker of the House, regarding his desire for decent working conditions for the farm laborers in Texas. He worries there is not enough protection for the workers due to agriculture in many places becoming big business. In response he sends H.B. 227, the Texas Agricultural Labor Relations Act, to the Labor Committee rather than the Agricultural Committee.
