dc.description.abstract | This project aims to examine the issue of poverty and food insecurities on individuals' nutrition in Corpus Christi, Texas- a city where 17% of the population falls below the poverty line (U.S. Census Bureau, n.d.). To address this, I have worked at the Grow Local Farmers' Market to increase access to fresh, nutritious food for SNAP recipients and provide education on its utilization. | |
